Ronald and Brian replaced my AC unit on 6/12/21. They were prompt, professional, knowledgeable, courteous, efficient and worked well as a team and independently. While Ronald replaced the condenser outside, Brian replaced the coil inside. They agreed to wear masks even though they both are fully vaccinated. I have not had the vaccine yet, so I was most appreciative and they wore booties while in the house to protect the floors. Barrett was here the previous day determining the issue with my AC. I had requested Barrett as he had replaced my furnace and thermostat last year. He is also professional, patient and courteous. The new unit seems to be working well; however, Douglas county failed the inspection due to new codes. Fix-It 24/7 will be back Wednesday to add additional requirements. Julie and Desiree, office staff, were responsive & resolved my issue of getting an updated contract. Although I am grateful to know that Fix-It is conscientious and complies with securing the necessary permit, I wish the salesman would have mentioned that I would be expected to schedule the inspection & that I would not be incurring any additional costs. Overall, I would recommend Fix-It.

An air conditioner works by using warm indoor air that blows through a cooling coil that contains refrigerant. The heat from the indoor air is absorbed through the refrigerant and turns from a liquid to a gas. The cooled air is then distributed back to the house. The refrigerant gas is then compressed before entering a large coil where the heat is released outside the home, and the refrigerant turns back into a liquid. Finally, a large fan pulls outdoor air through the outdoor coil, separating the heat absorbed from the house. It is a problem with either of the coils, the fans, or the refrigerant.
